In France Amethyst operates 4 human-scale clinics and delivers radiotherapy treatments to around 3,000 patients each year.
Amethyst clinics primarily focus on radiotherapy and deliver state-of-the art radiation therapy treatments; some clinics also offer brachytherapy as well as chemotherapy on premise.
The medical and scientific activity of all Amethyst clinics in France is coordinated by the renowned Professor Dr. Jean-Marc Cosset, who is at the same time the former head of the Radiotherapy and Oncology Department of the Institute Curie, Paris.
Initially established in 1985, Amethyst Compiegne clinic has built a strong reputation for medical excellence. After its acquisition by Amethyst group, it has undergone an important extension and upgrade programme.
Amethyst Compiegne is now equipped with IMRT Arc radiation technology, stereotactic radiotherapy and a modern oncology department operated together with our partner, the private clinic Polyclinique Saint Côme.
Over 750 patients are treated with radiotherapy each year, and – being located 40 minutes away from Charles de Gaulle airport, it is a premier treatment destination for international patients.
The clinic, located within medical campus of the public hospital Groupe Hospitalier Public Du Sud De L’Oise Creil (GHPSO), is equipped with two modern linear accelerators and is treating over 650 patients annually.
Thanks to an extensive collaboration with the hospital, patients can access advanced diagnostic techniques (including MRI, CT and PET CT investigations), as well as comprehensive cancer care including radiotherapy treatments, chemotherapy, surgery and support therapies.
Opened in 2001, the clinic was extended in 2010 and – after being acquired by Amethyst – benefited from major investments so as to offer latest radiotherapy techniques such as IMRT and VMAT.
Since the beginning of 2020, the clinic is also delivering stereotactic radiotherapy, to treat small tumour with highly targeted radiation.
Established in 1965, La Garenne-Colombes clinic is designed to offer modern treatment to oncological patients. Thanks to its results, the clinic has built a strong reputation for medical rigor and precision among the French cancer treatment facilities. It is located within the premises of the private hospital Clinique Lambert, part of Ramsay Santé, one of the largest networks of private hospitals in France.
It offers state-of-the-art radiation therapy treatments (IMRT Arc therapy and stereotactic radiotherapy), as well as low dose rate (LDR) or high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy and chemotherapy. The partnership with Clinique Lambert enables to offer patients a complete cancer care approach including surgery and support therapies.
Close to Paris and La Défense business district, and approximately 30 minutes’ drive to the airport Charles de Gaulle airport, the clinic is ideally located to welcome both local patients and international patients.
Inaugurated in September 1999, Amethyst Gray centre in Maubeuge offers the most innovative treatments to patients from Sambre-Avesnois region thanks to its medical expertise and state-of-the-art technological equipment.
The centre joined the European network of Amethyst Radiotherapy in August 2016. Amethyst group massively invested to equip the centre with high technology accelerator (Elekta Versa HD), new dosimetry equipment and Treatment & Planning software, as well as compression equipment to ensure patients’ greatest comfort and most accurate repositioning.
Amethyst Gray centre delivers radiotherapy state-of-the-art treatments to around 700 patients each year and also offers chemotherapy treatments to cancer patients.
As host of Sambre Oncologie, the local Cancer Coordination Centre, it organises weekly tumour boards and coordinates cancer therapies with public and private medical institutions in the region.
